David Council is the Director of Sales and Operations at Hanania Automotive Group. David started in the automobile industry at a very young age as a sales representative. His love of cars and passion for making customers smile led him to quickly advance to Sales Manager. Later, as Executive Vice President of a publicly traded automotive group, David oversaw the operations of 29 dealerships and focused on creating excellence in all aspects of the business. More of a southern boy, born in Raleigh, North Carolina, and growing up in Oviedo, Florida, David was enthralled when presented with the opportunity to ring the closing bell at the New York Stock Exchange in 2006!

In May 2015, David left his local dealership in Port Richey, Florida to join the Hanania Automotive Group. His professional connection with Jack Hanania started years prior as Jack was David’s mentor early in his career.

His zeal to start a tradition of altruistic principles within a small business community led him to Hanania Automotive Group. David’s mantra is “family first” and he applies this truism every day by managing his staff, conducting his business, and building relationships at Hanania Automotive Group. David is the father to a 27-year-old son Dalton who graduated from FSU and lives in Tampa. His hobbies include reading, golf, water sports, hunting and fishing.
